Founded in 1996, Hope Children's Hospital is a 69-bed hospital including a 15-bed pediatric intensive care unit and 9-bed pediatric surgical heart unit. Hope offers top-notch care encompassing over 30 pediatric specialities. Located in Oak Lawn, IL and sharing a campus with Advocate Christ Medical Center, Hope serves a large population living in Southern Chicago and its surrounding suburbs while also serving as a regional and national leader in pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery.
Hope also offers outpatient clinics, radiology, and rehabilitative services to its patients. Paired with the pediatric emergency department and a 46 bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit located in the adjoining Christ Hospital, Hope Hospital delivers full care from birth to childhood to young adulthood.
Hope Children's Hospital fulfills an instrumental role in education and training of young pediatricians. Each year, over 175 third-year medical students rotate at Hope on the inpatient floors, outpatient clinics, nursery, and with specialists. Hope Hospital also boasts a thriving residency program and graduates thirteen new pediatricians each year who go on to practice in the community, pursue further fellowship training, or continue to teach other residents and students.
